To apply for the following applications:

  1. OSS Competency Exam
  2. Pumper Owner Certification (New or Renewal)
  3. Pumper Employee Certification (New or Renewal)
  4. OSS Maintainer Certification (New or Renewal)
  5. Associate Installer Certification (New or Renewal)
  6. Master Installer Certification (New or Renewal)
  7. Vehicle Inspection Application

Please follow these instructions:

  1. You will first need to log in to your SkipThePaper Account.

    If you do not have a SkipThePaper account, you can apply for one by following this link.

  2. Once you have logged in, click on the Submit New Application link:
  3. You will be directed to a new page.  On that page type in the word "king" and click on the search button:
  4. You will then be presented with a list of King County applications to select from:
  5. From the list select the application to submit, and then click on the  icon.

    If you previously setup your certification types with associated certification numbers, you will be presented with an option to select which certification to associate to the application submitted.  For example, if you are applying for your Master Installer Certification Renewal, you can select your Master Installer location from the list and it will auto-associate your installer certification information to your application:

  6. You will then be directed to the application selected to complete:

Certification Location Setup

For existing contractors with certification numbers you can setup your SkipThePaper account to automatically associate your applications to your certifications.  To set this up, contact Seattle-King County Public Health to receive the appropriate numbers for each license.  Once you receive your certification numbers numbers you can setup your account for certification association by following these instructions:

  1. Login to your SkipThePaper account.
  2. Click on the account admin gear:
  3. Click on Account:
  4. Under Company Locations enter your License Description (For example Master Installer) and your License Number received from Seattle-King County Public Health.
  5. Click the add button and then your certification(s) will be available to select from when submitting future applications.  If you have more than 1 certification, repeat this process.
