Test Processing Tools and Procedures

Features have been added to SkipThepaper to allow for applications to be used in a testing format. These features include:

  1. The ability to collect test-taker fees and verify the eligibility of the test-taker.

  2. Once the test-taker has been verified the testing administrator can issue a one-time-use link to the exam.

  3. The test information is only available through the one-time-use link to the test-taker and once the test is completed, the test is no longer available for use/viewing.

How the process works.

The process for administering a test through SkipThePaper is as follows:

  1. The applicant applies for and pays for the test through a SkipThePpaer application:

  2. After the application has been submitted, the test administrator will see that a test has been applied for under their home page after login to SkipThePaper:

  3. The test administrator can open the application request view application icon.  Once the verification of the test taker information has been completed, the test-administrator has the option to issue a one time URL to the test taker. This is done by moving down the application view towards the bottom of the application and clicking on the green + button:

  4. The test-administrator will be prompted to verify that you wish to create a single-use URL:

  5. If you click “yes” a single-use URL will be created:

We recommend that you send a comment to the test taker at this point to inform them that their single-use URL is available through their account and they can now take the test. To send a comment to the applicant, you can follow these instructions.

The test-taker now can access and take the test through the following process:

  1. The test-taker logs into their account and clicks on the test application located on their home page:

  2. The test-taker will have access to a single-use URL to access the test at the bottom of the application:
  3. Once the test-taker clicks on the link, they will have access to the test for a period of four hours.  When the test is completed, the test-taker will no longer have access to the test.

Once the test has been completed, the test-administrator will have access to the test.  Access to the test is done by logging in to SkipThePaper and then access the test, which is now shown on the Home Submissions page:

  1. Once the test has been reviewed, graded, etc. the test-administrator can notify the test-taker of the results.

Once the test has been submitted to the test administrator, the test questions and results will not be accessible to the test-taker.
